The preparation

Prior to getting underway with the build, design work is carefully reviewed and materials are examined.

The Cut

With designs finalised and materials selected a primary template is drawn out and the contours of a new commission are cut.

3.

The shave

Various stages of shaving and sanding follow the initial cut so as to remove rough edges, smooth the outlines of the frame and define the curvature of the rims.

4.

The hardware

At this point in the build hardware is selected, inserts are drilled and components are pressed into place under pressure.

5.

The polish

With all other stages complete, frames will undergo numerous phases of polishing before the front and temples are connected together.
